The reality with working with recruiters is very often you will have to work with multiple recruiters (I was speaking with over ten recruiters regularly and went through nearly twenty in total) before you can find one good ESL job. This is especially true if you are a first year. What alleviates much of this frustration and pressure is a recruiter than not only you can trust, but communicates with you on a regular basis and actively takes the time to work with you albeit indirectly via ie Skype.
Rachel from HiKoreaEdu was one such recruiter who was not only able to find me interviews regularly but worked in conjunction with the parameters I set in the type of job and the location I was looking for as an ESL teacher. If I could, I would show you the string of emails and chats through Skype that really illustrate the lengths to which Rachel will actively look for the interview that best suits you and your future as an instructor.
If it comes to a point that I do not wish to renew my contract, I would seek out Rachel from HiKoreaEdu for another contract in the city of Gangneung (it really is a great 'secret' gem in S.Korea) or one of the larger cities after my first year such as Busan. She has the ability, the connection, and the dedication.
Heck! Even after she picked me up from the airport, we continue to keep in touch via Facebook as digital friends. All around she is a fantastic person and you couldn't be in better hands with her or the rest of the HiKoreaEdu company.
